Besides being a measure of progress, Profit is the lifeblood of any business. As evidence of our commitment to Profit, we have been able to produce year over year growth in our bottom line resulting in above average returns to our investors.
CHM Began Management of a 12 hotel portfolio with a negative annual cash flow (in the wake of the economic downturn). The Portfolio was a mix of independent hotels, Economy and Select Service Brands.
CHM quickly identified that the 5 unbranded assets were essentially draining the cashflow the branded hotels were producing. As a solution, CHM identified buyers (owner operators in each market) for these 5 assets and structured sales which resulted in significant returns to the investors for the Real Property.
CHM worked on behalf of the investors to develop and open two new hotel projects – The Hyatt Place of Columbus, MS and Holiday Inn of Guin, AL.
CHM delivered significant profits with year over year growth to investors. The Average year over year growth in bottom line profits during this period exceeded 70%!
CHM was engaged to co-development and manage a renovation and adaptive reuse of 2 historic buildings in Downtown Jackson. These projects became the present-day Walthall Lofts and Courthouse Lofts. CHM managed the day-to-day operations of these residential communities for the first year of operations.
CHM navigated the COVID-19 Global Pandemic and was able to work with lenders, team members and vendors to maintain quality operations. Despite the devastating impact to revenues, CHM successfully navigated this period without making a capital call to investors and was able to pay all obligations on time without fail. Not only was CHM able to manage the turbulent time, it also saw an opportunity to grow its executive team with the addition of a Seasoned Corporate Director of Sales and an accomplished in Regional Revenue Manager.
As revenues recovered from the global pandemic, CHM has been able to gear up its operations and achieved significant positive results in Occupancies, Rate and Revenue Par growth as of February 2021.
To further diversify our management capacity, we expanded into Multifamily and Recreational Day Camps by opening Mulberry in Vicksburg, Mississippi and managing The Ranch in Madison, Mississippi.
We expanded our capacity this year by pivoting to retail and entertainment venue management through developing Germantown Village in Gluckstadt, Mississippi.
Growth into selective 3rd party management with the development of the Holiday Inn Beach Boulevard in Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi.
